Mathias Arrignon is an artist from Val-de-Marne (France), based in Glasgow and working internationally. Driven by listening, he is using this sensitive language to foster environmental care and to narrate realities which suffer from invisibilation. His works merge field recording practices, audio technology, interactive installations and participatory performances to instil forms of interconnectedness with worlds that are often more-than-human.
His work has been presented and developed at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale, Listen Gallery, Southwark Park Galleries, Centre Intermondes, INA GRM, and The Arctic Circle Residency, with broadcasts on Resonance FM, Sonic Matter and Radio Campus Paris. He received a Sound of the Year Award in 2020 and a Phonurgia Nova Award in 2024.

Mathias Arrignon est un artiste originaire du Val-de-Marne (France), résidant à Glasgow et travaillant à l’international. Animé par l’écoute, il utilise ce langage sensible pour soutenir des rapports vertueux avec l’environnement et raconter des réalités qui souffrent d’invisibilisation. Ses œuvres mêlent pratiques d’enregistrement sur le terrain, technologie audio, installations interactives et performances participatives afin d’instaurer des formes d’interconnexion avec des mondes souvent plus qu’humains.
Son travail a été présenté et développé à la 18e Biennale d’architecture de Venise, aux Southwark Park Galleries, à la Listen Gallery, au Centre Intermondes, à l’INA GRM et à la résidence The Arctic Circle, avec des diffusions sur Resonance FM, Sonic Matter et Radio Campus Paris. Il a reçu un prix Sound of the Year en 2020 et un prix Phonurgia Nova en 2024.
